Mill Valley is located in an idyllic woodsy setting at the foot of Mt.Tam. The town is sophisticated, charming, old school, new school, happening and fabulous, all at the same time. Downtown you can find a great family owned Market, a bookstore/café in the old train depot, a variety of boutiques, art galleries and some of the best restaurants to be found around Marin. Every Tuesday night, comedy at “The Trock,” draws crowds for local entertainment. The famous Sweetwater Saloon offers food, drinks, and a broad spectrum of live music and entertainment. Over its 40-year history, the original Sweetwater hosted performances by artists including, Carlos Santana, Weir, Elvis Costello, Huey Lewis, Jerry Garcia and many more. Each neighborhood around Mill Valley offers something special. The short drive from 101 to Mill Valley makes it feel like you are entering a Swiss alpine village, with crisp air, redwood trees along the road, culminating in a downtown that’s a storybook charming. Homes on the ridge offer breathtaking views along with easy Mt. Tam trail access. Tam Junction is a quick drive to Tennessee Valley, Tam Valley Elementary, Muir Beach, and the fastest San Francisco commute.
