Kentfield is an unincorporated area in Marin County nestled at the base of Mt. Tam between Larkspur and Ross, anchored by College Of Marin, a beautiful community college, and the popular Woodlands Market. Kentfield is upscale and mostly residential with many generous flat lots and large homes. The Kent Woodlands neighborhood consists approximately of 550 homes and has a sylvan flair with many estate homes tucked away by private parcels. Kentfield is governed by the Kent Woodlands Property Owners Association, which oversees traffic safety, fire preparedness, architectural review, social activities, representation on county wide issues and maintenance of community development standards. Kentfield's public schools, which are shared with Greenbrae, are some of the most sought after in the county. Shopping and restaurant options are slightly less abundant in Kentfield, but those of neighboring towns are easily accessible as is the convenience of the nearby Larkspur Ferry Terminal.
